New This Year: You wanted it and we got it! We're unveiling a BRAND NEW online fundraising system, and we've made it even easier. Also, we've added a ninth lane at Bryant Lake Bowl. There's no bowling involved, however. Just cheer and beer!

*Please Note:
Teams must be registered by March 4, 2010 in order to guarantee a listing on this year's bowl-a-thon t-shirts. Teams that register after March 4 can still bowl, raise funds, and have an awesome time, but we can't promise they'll be listed on the shirts.

What is the Bowl-A-Thon? PCR's Bowl-A-Thon is the longest running event in the organization's history. For 16 years, PCR supporters have converged upon Bryant Lake Bowl and celebrated a unique organization that focuses on promoting reproductive health in the Twin Cities community. What started as a modest event with a few enthusiastic teams, the Bowl-A-Thon has morphed into one of the most talked about and highly anticipated events in the pro-choice community. Last year there were 40 teams, over 300 bowlers, and we raised over $50,000.

Why should you bowl for choice? PCR's programs are some of the most unique in the country. We are a homegrown non-profit, not affiliated with any national program. PCR is not a clinic or a lobbying organization and receives no government or United Way funding. We are the only organization in the country to offer education, advocacy, financial assistance, and outreach under one roof. By leading your own team or simply donating, you'll feel good because your effort and hard earned money is making a direct impact on people's lives.

So, you've decided you want to captain your own team or join the PCR Spare Bowlers? Just register! Once you register, you can use our online system to send emails to friends and family asking for donations.  It's so easy! This year Super Striker shifts are at 4pm, 5:15pm and 10:15pm with a team fundraising goal of $600, while Premium Pins shifts are at 6:30pm, 7:45pm (full) and 9pm. Teams that bowl during a Premium Pin shift are asked to raise $750. Don't forget that all bowlers who bring their minimum fundriasing amounts to the event ($100 or $125 depending on your shift) will get a FREE 2010 Bowl-a-Thon t-shirt!
