 Community Outreach.
Pro-Choice Resources participates in a wide variety of community outreach.
Project staff members present information at several statewide, regional
and national education conferences every year. Staff members train
professionals on using PCR’s own unplanned pregnancy curriculum,
as well as prepare participants for difficult classroom discussions and
understanding current state and federal laws. A long time facet of PCR has
been our participation in neighborhood festivals, professional conferences,
and community forums. Over 10,000 people are reached each year through our
booths at community events.
Health Disparities
Integral is outreach to historically underserved populations (primarily
communities of color, low-income communities and youth) so that all women
may exercise a full range of reproductive health options. PCR provides
comprehensive reproductive health education to women and youth of color
throughout Minnesota through presentations, tabling at neighborhood fairs
and festivals and community outreach.
